Terri Smith has extensive experience in the marketing industry. Terri began their career in 1997 as Worldwide Creative Services Director at Newsweek. In 2002, they moved to The New York Times as Group Director of Advertising Promotion. In 2004, they joined Conde Nast as Executive Brand Director for Bon Appetit and Launch Marketing Consultant for Lucky and Domino. In 2011, they were appointed Group Associate Publisher of Marketing at Meredith, where they led all marketing, positioning, branded content and integrated programs across four lifestyle brands. In 2016, they became Chief Marketing Officer at TheStreet, the first CMO in the public company’s 20+ year history. Terri was responsible for customer acquisition and retention for both consumer-facing and institutional businesses, and liaised with content teams to better serve audience segments, grow lead gen and to identify branded content extensions. In 2019, they were appointed Chief Marketing Officer at The Class, and in 2021, they became a Marketing Consultant at Effie Worldwide.

Terri Smith attended Creighton University, where they earned a BA in Theirtory and French.
