The Classics Company will give theatrical life to the great plays from the classical canon that have been performed on the English-speaking stage and, by doing so, re-introduce a contemporary audience to the dramatic literature that has stood the test of time.

Each season, artists and audiences alike will be immersed in one playwright or genre. This intimate focus will connect all of us to the brilliant longevity of the world’s greatest plays, music, visual art, and literature. Studying and performing plays in their original cultural context enriches our understanding of history and helps us to build connections to our contemporary lives.
