The Coast is a local media company based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. For three decades The Coast newspaper has been the information source of choice for people who love Halifax and demand the best for the city.

To serve this growing community of readers, we’re building The Coast for the long term. We believe in quality, we believe in local. We’re making a bet that the future lies in driving attention by being smart and useful and true to Halifax. We are reaching our community in print, online, through social media and events and countless other ways. To find The Coast today, just go where people eat, shop, work, play and live.

Through a selection of events, like Halifax Burger Week, Best of Halifax and Halifax Oyster Festival The Coast amplifies unique and share-worthy content. From sponsorships and events to creative solutions, we work with national and local brands.

Another way we connect the city is through Ticket Halifax. This is an online ticketing portal. In 2017 we sold tickets for over 1,000 events, managing over one million dollars in event revenue for festival promoters, shows, performances and films. We have a deep understanding of what is happening in the Halifax event space and how we can create a unique experience.
