The Communication Practice is a drama-based training company specialising in diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB). We work with organisations including Lloyd's, BMS, British Airways, and the NHS.

𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞

To help organisations move beyond theory to build truly inclusive cultures where conversations around identity, bias, and equity lead to genuine belonging—creating workplaces where everyone can contribute fully and reach their potential.

Whilst we're best known for tackling the most sensitive topics and conversations—those around EDI—we help with the whole range of difficult conversations leaders in organisations are faced with. We make these conversations easier by training the nervous system, not just the brain.

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐖𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩

Our drama-based methodology is distinctive: we don't just teach inclusive communication skills intellectually — we help people embody them through practice with professional actors who create unmatched emotional realism.

𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲

🔸 Lived Experience Recordings — Employees share real challenges anonymously, voiced by professional actors, creating recognition and empathy across differences.

🔸 Forum Theatre — Interactive scenarios where participants test solutions and explore new behaviours in psychologically safe environments, building shared ownership of cultural change.

🔸 Communication Coaching — Structured sessions with expert actor-coaches that build lasting capability.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭? We help leaders build emotional muscle memory to stay regulated during tense conversations, the confidence to lean into discomfort, and the understanding that mistakes are survivable. High-stakes conversations become easier to have and more effective—building genuine belonging.
