At The Community Table CIC, we believe that access to high-quality food is a right, not a privilege. We are a social enterprise dedicated to eliminating food insecurity in Mablethorpe by replacing the traditional "handout" model with a modern, retail-style social supermarket "hand-up" experience.

Our Mission: Food Dignity
Traditional food banks often come with a stigma that can strip individuals of their dignity. The Community Table is different. We provide a shopping environment that mirrors a high-street supermarket, where members can choose the groceries that best suit their families' needs. By focusing on "Food Dignity," we empower our members to shop with pride, autonomy, and choice.

How It Works: Trading for Good
We operate a membership-based model where local residents can access high-quality surplus food—including fresh produce, chilled items, and household essentials—at a fraction of retail prices.

Membership-Led: Designed for the 62% of Mablethorpe households currently facing economic pressure.

Waste Reduction: We partner with suppliers to divert high-quality food from landfill, turning environmental waste into community wealth.

Sustainability: Every pound spent at The Community Table is reinvested directly into our social mission, ensuring we remain a permanent pillar of the Mablethorpe community.

More Than a Shop
While food is our starting point, our hub is a gateway to wider support. Through our board of specialist advisors and local partnerships, we provide a space that fosters community resilience, offers signposting to essential services, and creates local volunteer opportunities.

Our Governance
Led by a dedicated Board of Non-Executive Directors (NEDs) and local leadership, we operate with full transparency and professional oversight. We are a purpose-driven Community Interest Company (CIC) committed to the highest standards of governance and social impact.
