Jonathan Este

Jonathan Este has extensive experience in journalism and communications, currently serving as the Editor for Politics + Society at The Conversation UK since 2013. Prior to this role, Jonathan worked as a freelance journalist, researcher, and policy writer at EsteComm from 2012 to 2013. Jonathan's career also includes positions as Communications Director at MEAA and Director of Communications at the Walkley Foundation, both held from 2007 to 2012. Jonathan's journalism background spans over 15 years at News International, News Ltd, The Australian, and News Corp, all from 1991 to 2006. Jonathan holds a BA (Hons) in IHS from the University of Bradford, completed between 1979 and 1983, and attended Newport Free Grammar School in Essex for one year in 1978-1979.
