Bennett Freeman

Bennett Freeman is a distinguished professional in the fields of international studies, corporate responsibility, and human rights. Currently serving as a Senior Fellow at the Institute of International Studies at the University of California, Berkeley and as an Associate Fellow at Chatham House, Bennett Freeman has extensive experience advising multinational corporations, foundations, and NGOs through Bennett Freeman Associates LLC. Previous roles include Senior Advisor at BSR and Critical Resource, as well as SVP of Sustainability Research and Policy at Calvert Investments, where Bennett Freeman led significant research and advocacy initiatives. Additional experience encompasses leadership roles in strategic communications at Burson-Marsteller and Sustainable Investment Strategies, where Bennett Freeman contributed to pioneering human rights impact assessments. Academic involvement includes adjunct lecturing at Columbia University and serving as a Senior Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations.
