The Design Solution is a highly experienced company of architects and designers. We’re based in central London and we specialise in the airport retail sector. Over the last forty years, we’ve been involved in the planning and design of commercial areas all over the world...from Abu Dhabi to Zürich. Where next?!

Our work includes the layout and design of commercial areas for owners and operators, as well as the design of retail outlets and duty free stores. We are specialists in providing the best retail solutions for our clients.

We always ask a number of basic questions at the beginning of every project we undertake. These include: Will what we’re proposing work on a practical level but also lift the spirits of our target audience. Will our proposed solution maximise the commercial returns of our client? How can we apply the groundbreaking thinking we’re renowned for? What preconceptions need rigorously challenging?

Standing still isn’t an option in our business. That’s why we constantly add to our experience, and hone our expertise, by working all over the world. We think of it as… “Applying locally what we learn globally.” Visit us to see some examples of our projects and find out how we work. You’ll also discover what makes us different…and unique.

We’re architects, designers, artists, analysts and businessmen. We’re thinkers and doers. We’re always aiming for the top level in everything we do - but we never lose sight of ‘the bottom line’. We know how crucially important it is to work in genuine and ongoing partnerships with our clients. To engage, involve, inform and inspire them via a truly collaborative process.
