Digital Justice Lab (DJL) is a Los Angeles–based nonprofit dedicated to equipping BIPOC-led organizations and young people with the digital skills, storytelling power, and technology training they need to build community, shift narratives, and drive systemic change. We work at the intersection of social justice, media, and emerging technology to close the digital divide and ensure communities of color are not only included in the digital future but shaping it.

At DJL, we believe digital justice is more than access to the internet; it’s access to opportunity, economic mobility, and political power. Our programs are designed to meet organizations and youth where they are, providing culturally grounded, highly practical training that strengthens their ability to organize, advocate, and lead.
Our core workshops include:
• Digital Strategy & Storytelling for Social Impact

• Misinformation, Disinformation & Narrative Defense

• “AI for Good” Workshops for Youth & Community

• Youth Creative Tech Labs

Across every program, DJL emphasizes culturally relevant teaching, real-world application, and the belief that digital skills are equity skills. Our mission is to make digital education accessible, empowering, and community-rooted, ensuring BIPOC organizations and youth have the tools to not just participate in the digital world but transform it.
