The District Nurses has been caring for Tasmanians since 1896, with a focus on aged care services that support independence and dignity at home. As a trusted not-for-profit provider, our largest programs include the Support at Home (Home Care Packages), Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP), and Short-Term Restorative Care, helping older Tasmanians age well at home and remain independent for longer. We also deliver private and brokered services, disability and under 65 care, veterans’ services, and end-of-life care. Guided by compassion, respect, and professionalism, we are committed to adapting to the future of healthcare while keeping people at the heart of everything we do.
