Gordon Young

Gordon Young is the current Editor in Chief at The Drum. Prior to their work at The Drum, Gordon worked at Carnyx Group Limited, Speaking & Judging, and The Drum Recommends. Gordon has also had experience working in the field of mental health, as they used to work as the Contracts & Planning Manager at Greater Glasgow Community & Mental Health NHS Trust. At Greater Glasgow Community & Mental Health NHS Trust, Gordon was responsible for contracts and planning for adult mental health services. Gordon was also very involved in the implementation of the Care in the Community Act, which aimed to move the focus of care for those with mental illness from hospital environments to the community.

Gordon Young completed a BSc Hons in Mathematics at the University of Strathclyde. Gordon also attended Mearns Castle High School in Glasgow and Kirkhill Primary in Newton Mearns. Gordon is certified by Founders4Schools as a speaker at Central Foundation Boys' School in London.

Gordon Young works with David Bellringer - Finance and Operations Manager, Matt Sullivan - Head of Personal Development Products, and Lynn Lester - Managing Director, Events.
