Eidos Institute is an independent Australian think tank asking: What is Australia past, present and future?

Across our 2026 listening cycle, we're pursuing that question through four connected inquiries - Australian Values, Fairness & Equity, Social Cohesion, and Australia in 2035 - anchored by published research guides on productivity, housing, and social cohesion. A series of strategic dinners across Australian cities, two national online integration events, and ongoing research together contribute to a cumulative national conversation.

This LinkedIn group is where that conversation continues between gatherings. You'll find updates from our research guides and capstone reports, invitations to public events and webinars, commentary from our Board, Research Committee and contributors, and members sharing their own questions and provocations across the four inquiries.

We work in partnership, not isolation. Our aim is to add to Australia's national conversation - not replicate it - drawing on multiple perspectives (experts, practitioners, business leaders, community voices, Indigenous and regional perspectives, and young Australians) and multiple channels to explore long-horizon questions that don't fit neatly into the news cycle.

We prize depth over scale, intentionality over frequency, and shared thinking over fast answers.

Welcome.
