The Elephant Initiative is a nonprofit dedicated to providing guardianship for the highly endangered Asian elephant. Our work spans across Thailand, India, and beyond, supporting conservation efforts both for wild elephants and those in captivity.

Our mission is to educate the public and our supporters about the urgent challenges facing captive and wild Asian elephants today. We advocate for the freedom of captive elephants from abuse, particularly addressing issues within tourism, and fund rescue missions to facilitate their journey to ethical sanctuaries where they receive extended care.

Additionally, our conservation efforts focus on wild Asian elephants, aiming to reduce human-elephant conflict, preserve critical habitats, and promote sustainable land use practices. Protecting these elephants is essential for maintaining biodiversity and ecological balance in their natural habitats.

All of these efforts are made possible through education, fundraising, and contributions to our nonprofit.
