Julia Nee

Julia Nee is a Research Fellow at the Center for Equity, Gender, and Leadership, where responsibilities include developing a design thinking framework for inclusive language in AI in collaboration with a Silicon Valley tech firm. Previous experience includes serving as a Lead Instructor at Universidad La Salle, A.C., where courses on English Language and Linguistics were designed and implemented, and as a Bilingual Research Associate at the Exploratorium, leading data collection and prototype iteration for bilingual exhibits. Additionally, Julia has held teaching roles at Holy Names University, focusing on standards-based assessment and universal design for equitable grading, and has contributed to various research projects at the University of California, Berkeley, including managing a participatory project for Zapotec language learning and enhancing digital archive navigation and privacy. Julia holds a degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
