Ellen Doherty has a diverse and extensive background in the media industry. Ellen began their career as an Associate Producer at HBO Downtown in 1996. Ellen then worked as a Producer/Writer at MPI Media Productions International before joining JP Kids as a Segment Producer. Ellen also worked at Reading Rainbow as a Segment Producer and Disney/ABC Cable as an Associate Producer. Ellen joined Metro TV as a Series Producer/Writer before moving to Discovery International as a Writer. In 2000, Ellen worked at Terra Associates as a Series Producer and Writer, where they produced video series on media literacy and communication skills. Ellen's work experience also includes their time at Thirteen/WNET, where they served as an Executive Producer and Story Editor for Cyberchase. During their tenure at Thirteen/WNET, Ellen oversaw television and transmedia scripting/production for the animated PBS KIDS series. Ellen'scontributions to Cyberchase include leading the production and scripting of Emmy-Award-winning transmedia projects. Most recently, Ellen has been working at Fred Rogers Productions as the Chief Creative Officer. In this role, they have been responsible for overseeing all creative development and production, as well as leading the development of new series for various platforms and partners. Ellen has created and executive produced several successful series, including Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood, Odd Squad, Donkey Hodie, and Alma's Way. Additionally, they created Through the Woods, a series of preschool nature shorts for the streaming service Curious World.
