The Gelykheid Foundation exists to help build thriving township economies where wealth is created, retained, and reinvested within the community.

Our focus is on township literacy and formal entrepreneurship: equipping individuals with the knowledge, skills, and support needed to start, grow, and sustain compliant, competitive businesses. We work to strengthen an ecosystem where township enterprises can trade with one another, access opportunity, and participate meaningfully in the formal economy.

Through practical education, entrepreneurial support, and ecosystem thinking, we aim to enable inter- and intra-township trade, unlock local value chains, and reduce economic leakage from township communities.

Guided by a diverse, highly skilled Board with deep experience across business, finance, law, operations, financial markets, and social impact, The Gelykheid Foundation is committed to community upliftment that is measurable, sustainable, and led from within.
