The waiting for The Gilberd School’s class of 2013 was over when students achieved some superb results, bucking the national trend which has been downward.  73% of Gilberd School students achieved 5 or more C grades and higher, with 68% of students achieving the gold standard of 5 GCSE C Grades or higher including English and maths. 

Headteacher Linda Exley was delighted; “Results day is always such a terrific occasion and this year has been a memorable celebration of the achievements of students and staff.  We are very proud of all of our students and they deserve to be congratulated today.  We have set the bar very high for ourselves next year, but I know the staff and students here will want to do even better in 2014.”
