Peter Levy has varied work experience in the fields of building energy modeling, sustainable design, and landscaping. Peter currently holds the position of Director of Passive House Services and Senior Building Performance Analyst at The Green Engineer, Inc. Peter is also the owner of their own business within the company. In addition, Peter has worked as an Instructor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, teaching an Introduction to Building Energy Modeling course. Prior to this, they designed and built an all-electric, net zero home in Vermont. Peter also has experience as the Co-Owner of Tierra Sustainable Landscapes.
Peter Levy earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Building Construction Technology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where they attended from 2007 to 2010. Peter then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) in Sustainable Building Systems from the same university, completing it from 2010 to 2013. Additionally, Peter holds certifications including BEMP from ASHRAE, Certified Passive House Consultant from the Passive House Institute US (PHIUS), and LEED AP BD+C from USGBC-Los Angeles.
