At The Grey Elephant, we’ve come up with a new way to print more labels and packaging more profitably.

By memorizing and automating all your printing tools, all artwork files are automatically compared for commonalities, all print sequences are automatically scheduled based on the complexity of each job and the plates already on the press, and all projects are automatically logged for traceability purposes.

All this automation enables you to reduce tools and material costs and optimize your labor force -whether you are printing shorter runs more often, or producing labels and packaging for regulated industries.

The Grey Elephant Never Forgets!

We help label and packaging printers:
⚡COMPARE → art files automatically to find commonalities
⚡SEQUENCE → the print production schedule automatically to eliminate press downtimes
⚡LOG → each project automatically to enable traceability.
With The Grey Elephant, you can re-use — rather than re-create — printing tools, reduce material costs, and optimize your labor force.

The Grey Elephant bolts onto your Esko Automation Engine and connects your ERP and Graphics Systems to close the gap between pre-press/graphics, press, plate-making, tools and dies, and archiving -for an easy exchange of real-time information.

Because our brains are not built like an elephant, it’s physically impossible to remember all the information needed to make good print production decisions. With The Grey Elephant, we do the remembering for you, so you don’t have to.

All this ‘memory’ work gives you a new way to become more profitable. It streamlines the production process, optimizes plate and tool costs - and helps you print more labels and packaging more profitably.

Founded in 2019, with headquarters in Germany, our global customers rely on us to help them automate their Printing Tools process and print more labels and packaging more profitably.
