Aroon Deep

Aroon Deep is a seasoned journalist with a focus on Indian tech policy. Currently serving as Principal Correspondent at The Hindu since January 2023, Aroon previously held the position of Senior Correspondent at Entrackr, where coverage also centered on tech policy. Aroon's experience includes roles as a journalist at MediaNama, where coverage spanned the online video ecosystem and telecommunications, along with a stint as Lead – Growth at Kaching!. Prior journalistic endeavors include freelance work for MediaNama, an internship at Scroll Media, and earlier roles as a communications intern at the Internet Freedom Foundation and an intern at Teach For India. Aroon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication, Journalism from Symbiosis Centre for Media & Communication, completed in 2018.
