The Lily Project is a free, confidential WhatsApp platform bringing sexual and reproductive health information and support to young Latinas across Latin America and the United States — in their language, on their phones, without barriers or judgment.
But this platform didn't start in an app. It started in remote villages in Nicaragua.

Founded in 2015, The Lily Project is an award-winning NGO that spent seven years driving a mobile health clinic into rural communities — delivering cervical cancer screenings, treatment, and sexual health education directly to women who had never had access. The impact was real and measurable:
- 23,000 women examined
- 1,500 received treatment or continued care
- 40,000 women and girls educated at community events
- 650 communities served

When the Nicaraguan government forced the closure of independent NGOs in 2022, the founders didn't walk away. They listened to the women they served and rebuilt around one simple truth: almost everyone has WhatsApp.
Today, The Lily Project brings that same trusted care online — reaching young Latinas wherever they are.
The technology changed. The mission never did.
