The Literacy Lab is a non-profit organization providing children in grades PreK-3rd with daily, evidence-based literacy intervention in order to improve their overall academic success and to increase their opportunities in life.

Literacy Lab tutors serve full-time in high-need preschools and elementary schools in the Washington, DC, Richmond, VA, Baltimore, MD and Kansas City, MO metro areas.

The Program Management team at The Literacy Lab oversees the implementation and effectiveness of literacy interventions in high-need preschools and elementary schools. They coordinate program operations, manage regional initiatives, and ensure that interventions are delivered consistently and effectively. This team supports and supervises tutors, maintains partnerships with local schools, and continuously evaluates the program to enhance its impact on children's academic success.

Program Management

The Leadership Team at The Literacy Lab oversees strategic planning, organizational development, and ensures equity and impact across all initiatives. Comprised of the Chief People, Organizational Strategy, And Equity Officer, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Impact Officer, and Chief Regional Officer, this team guides the non-profit’s mission to deliver evidence-based literacy interventions and manage operations across multiple metro areas, ensuring sustained improvement in children's academic success and life opportunities.

The Human Resources and Recruitment team at The Literacy Lab is responsible for attracting, hiring, and retaining dedicated literacy tutors and staff.
