What is "The Mandarin Story" about?

I often hear people say “Isn’t Mandarin, the most difficult language of the world?”. As a person who has been learning, teaching and breathing this language for the past 8 years, I could not disagree more!
If you look through my eyes, Mandarin is a very simple and logical language, and if one looks closely enough, one can find stories everywhere! The way words are built from individual characters are a master class in logic, and Chinese characters hide within them so many fascinating stories, but somehow this aspect is lost in our fear of tones and a lack of a phonetic alphabet. Since we are never able to see the language for the beautiful beast that it is, too many of us eventually give up.
With “TheMandarinStory”, I want to change this perception of Mandarin being the most difficult language, and make people realize how simple, logical and easy to learn this language is.

Meaning behind the name "The Mandarin Story"

Ever since I started being interested in languages, I
have loved reading stories about people who have
been able to dedicate their lives to the same
passion. So many people have mastered the art of
learning languages. These people don’t just learn
languages—they live them.

The Mandarin story is not just the story of the
journey of Mandarin as a language, or my own
journey as a Mandarin language learner, but also an
opportunity to create new stories/ your own story
of learning, loving and living Mandarin.
