Soo Oh

Soo Oh is a Deputy Managing Editor for the Impact department at CalMatters/The Markup, where they lead the data/interactives and product teams. Currently, they are participating in a yearlong investigative editing training program with ProPublica. Soo has previously held roles as a Data Editor at Reveal from The Center for Investigative Reporting and as a Reporter in Data Visualization at The Wall Street Journal, where they focused on economic data stories. Additionally, they taught coding and data analysis at UC Berkeley's School of Journalism and have extensive experience in building interactive graphics and tools across various news organizations.
