Jonathan Kaplan is the founder and chairman of The Melt, a grilled cheese chain with locations across the United States. Before starting The Melt, Jonathan worked as a strategy and transactions consultant at EY, where they advised clients on business valuations. Jonathan also interned at EY in the FSO Assurance department. Prior to their work at EY, Jonathan was a research assistant in the finance department at Sy Syms School of Business, where they assisted the lead research professor in analyzing data surrounding mergers and acquisitions of technology companies, focusing on motives. Jonathan has a deep understanding of the business world, which has helped him create a successful grilled cheese chain.
Jonathan Kaplan earned their Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance from Yeshiva University. Jonathan is certified by the New York State Education Department as a CPA.
