Focused On Prevention as a Bone & Joint Specialist

Dr. med Joerg Mika is a German Board Certified Orthopaedic Physician, Articular Cartilage Researcher and proud member of the AGA, DGOU, and ICRS. In 2022, he started his private practice focused on prevention as the best medicine. Dr. Mika has experience working in clinic and research, non-invasive, and surgical settings ranging from rehabilitation hospitals to Level 1 University Trauma Centers. Those early experiences led Dr. Mika to pursue a private practice where he has more autonomy and time to listen and add value to clients’ lives and industry. The Mika Clinic allows the harmonization of interests in cartilage research, orthopaedic teaching, and orthopaedic consulting to help clients live and move better.  Dr. Mika credits his family, friends and colleagues with giving him the confidence, encouragement, and support to achieve his personal and professional goals. Dr. Mika entered the healthcare profession as a Registered Nurse in 1989, which set a strong foundation of discipline, competency and service. Looking back on his career, working as a postdoctoral research fellow in Orthopaedic Surgery at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston, USA ignited his passion for research. Dr. Mika's experiences in general surgery in South Africa and Switzerland were tremendously valuable experiences. Dr. Mika believes the culmination of all his experiences contributed to his knowledge and methods which allows him to facilitate a broad spectrum of clients offerings from  comprehensive diagnostic testing and routine physicals to the most complex investigation of health conditions and diseases.
