The 𝗠𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 is a global initiative and multi-donor fund with a clear mission: to spark deep, lasting change where it matters most – in 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆, 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁, and 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆. 

These are the engines of every economy. And the battlegrounds for a decarbonised future. 

At MAF, we work with bold thinkers and doers in developing countries and emerging economies. Projects that not only reduce carbon but also create opportunities, shift policies and rewrite what’s possible. Projects that lay the groundwork for lasting, systemic change. 

🔷 Here’s how we do it

Each year, we invite countries eligible for Official Development Assistance (ODA) to apply through our open 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀. It’s a competitive process — but for good reason. Selected initiatives receive:

🔧Technical support to strengthen institutions and shape smart policies
💰 Innovative finance that unlocks bigger investments and bolder solutions
📈 Support every step of the way – from early ideas to full-scale deployment

Through our grants we support climate solutions from concept to implementation. Our “4D” model says it all: 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩. 𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞. 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲. 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐞.

We’re building on more than a decade of experience – continuing the legacy of the NAMA Facility (2013-2022). So far, we've:
