Conservation Forester

Pat Ma, CF, has extensive experience in forestry and conservation, having worked in various roles that include Chesapeake Conservation Corps Volunteer and Watershed Forester with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources Forest Service. Pat’s expertise encompasses watershed forestry, riparian forest buffer planting, and collaboration among researchers and land managers, demonstrated through positions such as Project Coordinator for the Hardwood Ecosystem Experiment at Purdue University. Additionally, experience includes roles as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at Clemson University, facilitating environmental education and conservation awareness among youth in various camp counselor positions. Pat holds a Master of Science in Forest Resources from Clemson University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology with Geographic Information Systems from Elon University. Recent work has included serving as Conservation Forester and Forest Conservation Coordinator for The Nature Conservancy, focusing on forest restoration and management.
