Amanda Bright

Amanda Bright currently serves as the Director of the Journalism Innovation Lab at the Cox Institute for Journalism Innovation, Management and Leadership as of August 2023. In addition, Amanda holds the position of Assistant Editor at The Oglethorpe Echo since November 2021, and has been a Clinical Associate Professor at the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia since August 2018. Amanda also serves as Managing Editor for Grady Newsource until April 2025. Prior roles include Education Editor/Curator at MediaShift and various teaching and advising positions across multiple educational institutions, emphasizing journalism education and media management. Amanda holds a PhD in Curriculum, Instruction, and Media Technology from Indiana State University and has received numerous accolades for contributions to journalism education.
