The Open Mindset Project is a nonprofit reimagining mentorship for the global workforce. We prepare college students and recent graduates—especially first-gen and underrepresented learners—for careers that cross borders and industries.

Our hybrid model blends a four-part online course in global competency with personalized, one-on-one virtual mentorship from professionals who’ve worked across cultures, companies, and continents.

Students & Recent Grads—Gain real-world skills, confidence, and global perspective—while creating a personal brand that stands out to employers. You’ll complete a short online certificate in global mindset and get matched with a mentor who offers support on resumes, interviews, career planning, and navigating today's work environments.

Mentors (Global Gurus)—Use your global experience to make a difference and enhance your professional brand. Volunteer as a mentor and join an elite network of professionals committed to growing the next generation of diverse, adaptable leaders. Mentors connect 1:1 with students and help shape future-ready talent.

Universities & Career Centers—Strengthen student outcomes with a turnkey career-readiness program that builds global awareness and professional soft skills. Our flexible format integrates easily into existing career services, orientation, or leadership development programs.

Donors & Sponsors—Shape the future of the global workforce by investing in scalable, high-impact mentorship. Your support connects students with transformative guidance and provides access to global skills typically reserved for those with privilege and resources. Fund scholarships, expand access, and help build a more equitable workforce.

In short, Open Mindset:
• Equips the next generation of professionals with the skills to thrive in today's job market.
• Gives mentors an opportunity to give back and build their credentials.
• Enhances colleges' career service offerings.
• Empowers donors to make a global impact.
