The Outback Car Trek is an annual event that donates the funds it raises each year to The Royal Flying Doctor Service.

The Trek has four guiding principles:
1. To have fun
2. To visit parts of remote Australia that most people only ever dream about
3. To have a significant social and economic impact on the towns we visit and
4. To raise funds for the Flying Doctor Service.

Donations raised to date for the RFDS exceed $35,500,000 with a great many more $ millions raised for local groups, and spent in the communities we travel through.

The event is for 2 WD cars older than 30 years as at 1 January each year. Cars are specially prepared to endure the rigours of outback dirt road driving and are subject to a safety check before we head off each year. If you are interested in entering a car, or joining an established team, please drop us a line and we can help you on your way.

The Trek is normally 1 week in length and finishes on the June long weekend each year.

Each year the Trek travels a different route through some of Australia's most remote and isolated regions, spending time in towns and locations that most Australians only ever dream about visiting, and at the same time raising millions of dollars for the charity.
