Ruby Johnson

Ruby Johnson is a seasoned advocate for gender justice and human rights with 20 years of experience in grassroots organizing, philanthropy, and intergenerational leadership. Currently serving as the Director of the Global Resilience Fund with Purposeful, they champion the rights of girls and young feminists in crisis contexts. Ruby co-founded Closer Than You Think, a consultancy collective that merges activism, philanthropy, and art. Previously, they were the Co-Executive Director of FRIDA | The Young Feminist Fund and contributed to initiatives at organizations such as UN Women and Amnesty International. Ruby holds degrees in International Studies and Development from prominent Australian universities.
