The Paz Foundation was established in July 2013. The Paz Foundation was named after my mother Paz Ortiz. My mother was the inspiration behind the Paz Foundation as she was an example of charity, compassion, and giving. The name Paz means "Peace" in Spanish and that is exactly what we want to create with our programs. Our focus is on education, protection, and economic programs. We are building integrated women's centers which include: Women's and Children's Hospitals, women's and children's shelters, job training and education centers, and micro-lending.
