The Presence Authority is the independent governance standards body behind the Digital Presence Integrity Framework (DPIF).

DPIF is the world's only published governance standard specifically designed for AI avatars, voice clones, and digital twins — the AI systems that replicate or simulate the identity, voice, or communicative presence of real, identifiable persons.

The framework comprises 18 controls across 8 sections, including 14 Critical Presence Controls (CPCs) that function as non-compensatory assessment gates. Any CPC failure results in an overall FAIL — regardless of performance on other controls. This is by design: the people whose identities are being represented deserve every protection, not a weighted average of protections.
