THE PROFESSIONAL TRUSTEE is a Chicagoland area professional services firm that offers a sophisticated alternative to institutional trust departments and novice family members, delivering bespoke fiduciary solutions that prioritize human relationships alongside legal precision. Rather than forcing clients into rigid, preset protocols, the firm designs administrative systems tailored to the grantor’s and beneficiary’s unique needs, family dynamics, and the scope of the estate.

Founded by Dan Felix, a licensed Illinois attorney and Master Certified Independent Trustee, the firm removes the barriers of minimum asset requirements and the “one-size-fits-all” institutional model. Dan ensures that clients benefit from a high-touch, flexible partnership that transforms trust management from a cold legal necessity into a proactive tool for family harmony.

The firm’s clients gain the security of expert oversight combined with a rare, personalized focus on beneficiary empowerment and conflict prevention, ensuring their legacy flourishes exactly as intended.
