The Raabsmith Team provides structured, professional coaching for individuals and couples navigating the impact of betrayal and working to rebuild trust, safety, and intimacy.
Founded by Matthew Raabsmith and Joanna Raabsmith, LMFT, our work combines lived experience, clinical insight, and practical relational frameworks to support meaningful, sustainable change. We believe healing after betrayal requires more than insight alone—it requires clarity, consistency, and intentional support over time.
We specialize in betrayal trauma recovery, sexual integrity, and couples rebuilding after trust has been broken. Our approach moves beyond behavior management or surface-level repair. We help individuals take ownership, build reliability, and develop the relational skills necessary to restore emotional and relational safety.
At the core of our work is The Intimacy Pyramid™, a clear framework for rebuilding connection through five essential layers: honesty, safety, trust, vulnerability, and intimacy. This model provides structure for the recovery process and serves as the foundation for our coaching, teaching, and training. It is also outlined in our book, Building True Intimacy: Creating a Connection That Stands the Test of Time, which equips couples with shared language and practical tools for lasting change.
The Raabsmith Team is a professionally led coaching practice. Matthew oversees the training, supervision, and ongoing development of our coaching team, ensuring consistent, ethical, and effective care for the individuals and couples we serve.
We work with clients worldwide through individual coaching, couples work, group programs, and educational resources, and we partner with clinicians, faith leaders, and organizations seeking a thoughtful, structured path forward after betrayal.
Our mission is to help individuals and couples move from confusion and disconnection to clarity, trust, and lasting intimacy—one intentional step at a time.
