Michael Prior

Michael Prior is an experienced professional in community engagement and partnership development, currently serving as the Partnerships Lead at The Reader UK since April 2019, where responsibilities include fostering collaborations with various institutions such as hospitals and libraries. In addition, Michael oversees 30 volunteers as the Bristol Hub Leader, facilitating shared reading groups for older individuals. Concurrently, as the Community Projects Co-ordinator at New Brewery Arts since January 2021, Michael is involved in developing new community initiatives centered around crafts and makers. Previous roles include Associate Producer (Engagement) at Situations, Conference Programmer for engage, and Access and Education Programmer at Arnolfini, where extensive work in project management, audience development, and participatory arts was showcased. Michael also contributed as a Curator (Education) at Ikon Gallery, focusing on education programs and touring exhibitions.
