The Red Door Place is a community-based nonprofit organization serving neighbors in the West Village and surrounding New York City communities through food access and connection.
Our work centers on operating a consistent, dignified food pantry and community meal program designed to meet immediate needs while strengthening long-term community resilience. Each week, we distribute fresh groceries and prepared meals to individuals, families, and seniors facing food insecurity.
We partner with local volunteers, nonprofit organizations, and corporate supporters to ensure that food moves efficiently and responsibly from donors to the people who need it most. Through steady operations, strong partnerships, and a commitment to respect and accessibility, we strive to make essential resources available without barriers.
At The Red Door Place, our mission is simple: show up consistently, serve with dignity, and strengthen our neighborhood through practical, hands-on community support.
