The Rosewood School (TRS) provides tailored, short-term educational placements for pupils whose health needs prevent them from accessing mainstream school. Positioned between mainstream and special school provision, we specialise in re-engaging learners with their education, rebuilding confidence, supporting wellbeing and preparing them for successful futures — whether that’s reintegration into mainstream settings, alternative pathways, post-16 study or employment.

At TRS, we deliver a broad and balanced curriculum designed to identify and address gaps in knowledge, support personal development and equip pupils with core skills for life beyond school. We place emphasis on wellbeing and strong relationships, fostering a supportive environment where every pupil is encouraged to thrive academically and socially.

Our ethos is guided by three core values — Confidence, Acceptance and Perseverance — which are central to how pupils and staff work collaboratively to overcome barriers, celebrate diversity and achieve meaningful outcomes. Through bespoke support, small-group teaching and wrap-around care, we champion every pupil’s journey back into education and community life.
