We are the Royal Mint Museum. A small but dedicated team responsible for more than half a million objects and 1,100 years of money-making history. And it’s a history that belongs to us all.

The coins in our pocket are a more than just money. They are cultural touchstones. A unifying and tangible link to the past and a portal into the world of history, art, heraldry, symbology, politics, technology, metallurgy and more.

We use our passion, creativity and expertise to share the story of the Royal Mint online, via podcasts, exhibitions, education sessions, research and community engagements projects.

As a charity and Accredited Museum which also provides assistance and advice to the Royal Mint business, our set-up is an unusual one. The main way we share our treasures and tell our story is via the Mint’s Visitor Centre The Royal Mint Experience, but we are continually expanding our reach digitally to share our story globally. We’d love you join us, after all, it’s your history too.
