Hi, I’m Andrew Douglas - Founder of The Salamander Co.

I am passionate about the Blue Economy and the sustainable use of ocean resources to foster environmental conservation and economic growth.

After 20 years of building my own businesses I’m now focused on delivering high impact solutions to enable rapid growth of technology “scale ups” within the Blue Economy.

I’m curious and adventurous by nature – qualities I seek out in the ocean change-makers I want to work with. These traits are vital to igniting innovation and solutions-focussed outcomes.

I specialise in the procurement of non-dilutive capital and project finance for BlueTech founders – largely made up of Corporate Partnerships, Donor Assisted Finance and Grants.

Although my work is worldwide I love the challenge of operating in the global south, where innovative partnerships and strategic alliances are essential due to limited resources.

I'm a naturally persuasive communicator, mission-driven and at my best when conceptualising new ideas and getting diverse audiences on-board and focussed towards a shared goal.

My expertise and experience coupled with my expansive mindset make me a compelling leader within organisations that have a clearly defined purpose and ambition to grow.

I prefer to work with companies in the critical period preceding/during capital raises or IPO – that’s where I can create the most impact and deliver the most value.
