The Sandbox is a learning design studio based in Hyderabad, working with schools, institutions, NGOs, foundations, and corporates on the parts of education that are hardest to get right.

We start from a simple belief: the distance between what research tells us about learning and what actually happens in classrooms is a design problem. And that it is a solvable one.

So that's what we do. Want to make sure your corporate training is actually doing something? We're your guy. Want to build an escape room for your history class? Count us in. Not sure how to incorporate SEL into your literacy programme? We LITERALLY cannot wait to get started. Just need someone to gut-check your work and tell you what's working? We're your nerds.

We work across research, design, and implementation. Always with the people who have to make things work on the ground, not for them from the outside.

The name comes from a simple idea. In a sandbox, everyone starts with the same material and no predetermined outcome. Different paths, different results, and room for the learner to show up as themselves. That idea sits at the centre of everything we do.
