The Scented Leaf is a community-focused tea house and lounge with multiple locations in Tucson, AZ. The company was founded by Shane and Adrienne "Nin" Barela, whose love for loose-leaf tea began serendipitously in a charming Granada, Spain gift shop during their honeymoon in 2010. 

What started as a simple adventure in bringing loose-leaf tea to Tucson blossomed into a deep passion for tea's rich flavors and traditions, and making tea and its health benefits more accessible to their local community and beyond. Scented Leaf shops are more than cafes — they are positive, vibrant spaces that offer community connection and customized, delicious tea drinks to order.

As of 2026, the company has expanded from its flagship store on University Blvd. outside the University of Arizona to four locations throughout Tucson and two additional stores to be completed by May and December 2026.
