Amy Hamill is the Director of Legal Services at The Second Step, a position they have held since 2016. Previously, they served as a Volunteer Assistant Attorney General in the Civil Rights Division of the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office from 2014 to 2015, and as a Deputy Public Defender for the County of Marin in 2004. Their legal career began as an Assistant District Attorney in the Appeals Bureau at the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office from 2000 to 2001. Additionally, they worked as an Advocate at the Hong Kong Refugee Advice Centre & Helpers for Domestic Helpers from 2006 to 2011. Amy earned a Doctor of Law degree from Fordham University School of Law between 1997 and 2000.
