Suzanne Wakefield

Suzanne Wakefield is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in development and advancement roles, currently serving as Chief Development Officer at The Second Step since January 2016. Previous positions at The Second Step include Assistant Director of Advancement, Senior Development Officer, and Events and Development Manager. Suzanne also provided independent consulting services for the TargetCancer Foundation in late 2015, offering support for planning and executing a scientific meeting and annual gala. Early career experience includes serving as Program Coordinator at STAR, Inc., where program plans for developmentally disabled adults were developed and implemented, and prior roles as Administrative Assistant at EastRidge Enrichment Center and Housing Advocate at Community Action Committee of Cape Cod & Islands. Suzanne holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago Crown Family School of Social Work and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Fairfield University.
