James Hands

James Hands has extensive experience in finance and operations. James is currently serving as the Chief Financial and Operating Officer at The Seeing Eye. Prior to this role, they worked as the Chief Financial Officer at the same company.

Before joining The Seeing Eye, James Hands held various positions at Natural Resources Defense Council. Their roles included Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, Director of Budgeting and Grants Management, Manager of Finance, Senior Finance Analyst and Budget Manager, and Accounting Analyst. James demonstrated expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and building relationships at all levels of the organization. James is skilled in creating and delivering reports and presentations to senior management and the Board of Directors.

James Hands has an MBA in Finance and Investments from the Zicklin School of Business. James also has a BA in Economics from Rutgers University. In 2009, James attended a professional development program at the Harvard Division of Continuing Education, focusing on Managing Yourself and Leading Others. In 2023, they completed another program at the Harvard Division of Continuing Education, this time in Executive Leadership: Skills Experience Leaders Need to Succeed.
