Tyrone Smith

Tyrone Smith is an experienced professional in telecommunications and network management, currently serving as a Shift Coordinator at The Select Group, specifically contracting for Cisco, since September 2020. With a career at Verizon that began in November 1999, Tyrone has held multiple roles, including Incident Manager, overseeing high-profile managed customers, and Specialist Engineer III, where responsibilities included managing network operations for BP Amoco Company as well as troubleshooting various telecommunications lines. Prior experience includes working as a Change Manager at Cisco and serving as a Switch Operator for the US Army, where duties focused on communication network installation and maintenance. Tyrone holds an A.A.S. Degree in Information System / Network Administrations and Support from Durham Technical Community College and a Certificate in Telecommunications from Central Carolina Community College.
