At the heart of The Sheds are Alex and Lucy, a husband-and-wife team with a shared vision of creating a welcoming space for everyone. Each brings their own unique set of skills and experiences, which have shaped The Sheds into more than just a coffee shop - it’s a community hub.

Lucy has a background in finance, having worked for years with Northern Trust Bank. Her expertise in financial management, combined with her sharp attention to detail, helps keep The Sheds running smoothly behind the scenes. Lucy brings a level of organization and strategic thinking to the business, ensuring that everything is well-managed, while also bringing a personal touch to every customer interaction. Her experience in a corporate setting gives her a unique perspective, and she uses that knowledge to ensure The Sheds thrives as both a business and a community space.

Alex, on the other hand, comes from a professional rugby background. As a former player, he’s no stranger to teamwork, discipline, and pushing for excellence. Alex brings those same qualities to The Sheds, creating a coffee shop where everyone feels like part of the team. His passion for building community and fostering connections is at the core of everything we do. Whether it’s sharing stories with customers or organizing events, Alex channels his rugby experience into creating a lively, inclusive atmosphere where people can come together.
