The Shefa School is a Jewish community day school in Manhattan serving students in grades 1–8 who benefit from a specialized educational environment in order to develop their strengths while addressing their learning challenges. We specifically serve students with language-based learning disabilities who have not yet reached their potential levels of success in traditional classroom settings. Shefa is a pluralistic community school serving families across the range of Jewish involvement and observance.

The Teaching team at The Shefa School is dedicated to providing a tailored educational experience for students with language-based learning disabilities in grades 1–8. This team, consisting of specialized educators including Lead Teachers, Special Education Teachers, Coordinators, and Speech Language Pathologists, works collaboratively to develop and implement individualized learning strategies. They focus on fostering student strengths while addressing specific learning challenges, ensuring each child reaches their fullest potential within a nurturing, pluralistic Jewish community environment.
