The Social Queer is a queer community company building meaningful, lasting friendship and belonging.

Founded in Seattle, The Social Queer began with a simple but deeply felt truth: access to queer spaces is not the same as true community. What started as a response to that gap has grown into far more than an events brand. Over the years, The Social Queer has become a trusted community hub that has sparked spin-off groups, recurring programming, deep friendships, and even marriages.

Unlike platforms centered only on dating or nightlife, The Social Queer is designed to help queer people build real connection across identities, life stages, and social styles. We serve a broad and often overlooked community, including families, older adults, neurodivergent community members, partnered people, newcomers, and anyone seeking queer friendship, belonging, and continuity.

Today, we bring that mission to life through curated experiences, cultural programming, and community-centered gatherings. Long term, we are building toward something even bigger: enduring queer community infrastructure that can grow across cities and eventually through digital platforms.

At The Social Queer, connection is sacred.
